Chief Anthony Mendetta, 1st Assistant Chief Brandon Rowback & Captain Steve Beck recently attended Fire Investigation for the Line Officer.

In this two day class students learn the purpose of doing fire investigations, responsibilities of the Fire Chief, and responsibilities of line officers. Students learn process used to determine the cause and origin of fires. Students are given a basic understanding of fire’s behavior and its value in determining a fire’s origin and cause. Students learn the importance of preserving the scene and evidence. The course is designed to help an officer understand when he/she should call a fire investigator.
