Yesterday evening, representatives from the National Grid 1st Responder Training Program came to our station for a very informative classroom and hands on training with their custom training trailer. A huge shoutout to National Grid for helping us better serve our community!
Pleasant Square Firefighters trained connecting to a fire hydrant and pumping water at Universal Warehousing this evening.

Early Wednesday morning, June 9, 2021 (2:59am) Mayfield FD was dispatched to 49 Second Ave, in the Village of Mayfield, for a reported structure fire.
Mayfield FD units responded to the scene and upon arrival, units located a multi family residence engulfed in flames. All occupants were able to exit the structure but a family dog did perish in the fire. The Pleasant Square Fire Company and Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Company were requested to the scene with tankers and air pack qualified. Meco Volunteer Fire Company was on standby for Pleasant Square at the Meco fire station. Village of Mayfield DPW, New York State Troop G Mayfield Barracks, Fulton County Emergency Management, Fulton County Fire Investigation Team, Fulton County EMS Coordinators, Mayfield Fire Department Auxiliary, NY State Fire, and GAVAC also responded to the scene. The Red Cross was contacted to assist the families.
